Prospect Confirmed . . .

RENOVO—For the first time a local official has publicly commented about a prospect reported with an interest in the old railroad shop holdings in Renovo. Mike Flanagan, head of the Clinton County Economic Partnership, made the mention at a partnership membership meeting last week and said “the due diligence process is moving forward.” He declined further comments to The Record other than to say, “Many are working very hard to try and make the project a reality, but we have a long way to go.” He said representatives from the prospective tenant were in the area on March 11-12. Officials from both ends of the county have been aware of the prospect’s ongoing interest in the old rail yards but have elected to not comment publicly so as not to jeopardize the possibility of landing the prospect for the vacant acreage on the north side of Renovo.
