Obituary – Dorothy Elizabeth Walker Frazier

Dorothy Elizabeth Walker Frazier, 101, passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2024.

Born January 31, 1923 in Centre County, she was the daughter of the late William and Gertrude Dietz Walker.

Dorothy was raised in Lock Haven and was a 1942 graduate of Lock Haven High School. Earlier in life, she worked in Washington D.C. for a period of time before returning to Lock Haven where she worked at Penn Woven until their closing in 1952.

She married and raised her family in Lock Haven. Surviving is a son, Ernest (Judy) Ross; three daughters, Sandra Somerville, Peggy (Douglas) Miller, Cynthia (Gerald) Smith and Donna (Rick Retorick) Frazier; a step-daughter-in-law, Judith Frazier; and a step-daughter, Diane Kline. Dorothy was the last surviving member of her family. She is survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Frazier, who passed in April 2011; a step-son, John Frazier, who passed in 2020; and a son-in-law, John Somerville, Jr., who passed in 2022.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 26, 2024 at 1 P.M. at Dunnstown Cemetery, Church Street, Lock Haven, PA 17745.
