Obituary – Patricia L. Barner

Patricia L. Barner, 84 of Ridge Rd. Mill Hall, Pa. passed away Aug. 17,2024 surrounded by her family at her residence. She was born Aug. 18, 1939, in Salona, Pa to the late Elmer and Mary Mayes Neff. 

Pat was united in marriage Aug. 4, 1956, to Gordon L. (Bud) Barner who preceded her in death Jan. 12, 2018. She was a graduate of Mill Hall High School and had worked at Bobbie Brookes in Lock Haven before going to work at Ricker Brothers in Lock Haven for a number of years. She then went on to become part owner of Sweet Evergreen on Main St. in Lock Haven. Pat had last worked and retired from Renninger Cabinetry in Mill Hall as a kitchen and bathroom designer.   

Pat had an adventurous spirit. She loved to travel with her husband Bud to far off places. She was creative, which showed in her work and her own home and gardens. She liked to spend time outdoors and loved watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren grow up. She loved animals, most recently her beloved Molly.  She also enjoyed having her fur grandkids visit. Pat was a cancer survivor and had a lust for life. Anyone that knew Pat loved her.

Survivors include two daughters: Tammy L. (Tom) Butler of Loganton, & Terri L. (Mark Walizer) Barner of Lock Haven, two sons: Rodney L. (Dawn) Barner of Blanchard and Ricky Jo (Joyce) Barner of Mill Hall. Also surviving are six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry and James Neff and a sister, Faye Croak. 

At Pat’s request, services will be at the convenience of the family.  Interment will be in the Rest Haven Memorial Park.
