Obituary – Arla R. Marquette (Honey)

Arla R. Marquette (Honey), age 88, of Lock Haven passed away August 15, 2024 after a lengthy illness.

Arla was married to the late Richard A. Andrus, then went on to remarry the late Fred Marquette.

Arla was a social butterfly and loved to make people laugh. She liked doing seek and find puzzle books, crocheting, and going to Walmart more to mingle with people than to shop.

In her younger years, she worked at Crissman’s Meat packing plant in Castanea. She was mostly known for her bartending/waitressing at the Nittany Inn in Lamar where she worked for many years.  After remarrying and moving to York, PA she worked at Coomb’s Tavern as a bartender/waitress. After her retirement and moving back to Lock Haven she worked at Eyer’s Café in Lock Haven for a short time.

Arla is survived by five children, Kim Wise of Lock Haven, Mike  (Diana) Andrus of Castanea, Ruth (Jim) Dole of Blanchard, Jody Andrus of McElhattan, Jay Andrus of Lock Haven, and one stepson Ron (Teresa) Marquette of Florida. She is survived by many grandchildren and great  grandchildren that all love her dearly. She is also survived by one sister, Linda Broglie of Alabama and three bonus sisters, Mitchy, Kathy, and Judy Robb

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Arla’s name to the American Heart Association, P. O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284.

Funeral services for Arla R. Marquette will be held Monday, August 19, 2024 at 4:00 pm in the Gedon Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, LLC, 121 W. Main St., Lock Haven.  Family and friends will be received in the funeral home from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.
