Lock Haven Clubs Host Rotary District Governor

LOCK HAVEN, PA — Rotary District Governor Pam Wagoner of Martinsburg, W. Va. visited here Tuesday, July 30th.

The Downtown Lock Haven Rotary Club hosted the evening on a garden party theme to honor the district governor who is a florist and business owner.

Members of the parent club, Lock Haven Rotary, also attended. Club president Brent Jones gave District Gov. Pam a loaf of his homemade bread.

The party food featured sandwiches, deviled eggs, fruit, veggies, flower-shaped cookies, and a choice of wines.

Both clubs also honored the district governor with donations to the Rotary Foundation in her name.

She congratulated the Lock Haven club for member Martin Flayhart becoming a 50-year Rotarian and member Jacinth Maynard becoming a Paul Harris Fellow for giving to the Foundation.

She also spoke about her goals and Rotary International’s 2024 theme, “The Magic of Rotary,” presenting magic wands to Brent and to Marianne Lotfi, president of the Downtown Club.

The Lock Haven Club meets Tuesdays at 12:00 p.m. at Great Island Presbyterian Church, 12 W. Water St. The Downtown Club meets Tuesdays at 5:30 p.m., gathering at 5:15, in Poorman Gallery, 352 E.
