Citizens Invited to Honor Local Service Members and First Responders with 2024 Banner Program
RENOVO – The Renovo Hometown Heroes Committee invites the citizens of Clinton County to honor military veterans, active-duty personnel, first responders, and emergency healthcare professionals through the 2024 banner program. Hometown Heroes banners are a perfect way to recognize those who serve our community.
Designed by Brownie Signs, each banner costs $125.00 and will be displayed on the street poles of Renovo for all to see. The Hometown Heroes celebration will take place on Sunday, September 8th, 2024, at 2 PM at the 16th Street Park War Memorial.
Applications for the banners are now being accepted. Eligibility requirements include prior service in any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces or National Guard, with the service member being active duty, retired, or an honorably discharged veteran. First responders, whether former or current members of fire companies, ambulance services, EMT, police, or emergency healthcare personnel, are also eligible.
Submission requirements include a completed application, a clear photograph of the service member (preferably in uniform), and a payment of $125.00 (cash or check) payable to Renovo Hometown Heroes. Applications and payments can be given to committee members.
Banners will be on display for two years, with notifications for pick-up or re-hanging provided when planning the 2026 banner program.
To all those serving our country and community, we are grateful for your service.
