Wildcats go to 13-5 following 2 Connor Foltz home runs

LEWISBURG- Connor Foltz made sure that Central Mountain would end their current two-game skid.
Foltz would club a pair of home runs and the Wildcats would knock 14 hits in a convincing 12-3 win at Lewisburg on Monday night.
The Wildcats plated an opening inning run, but would be held scoreless over the course of the next two innings. Foltz and company would score 11 runs in the game’s final four innings, including big 4-run efforts in both the fifth and sixth innings.
The Green Dragons would score a pair of runs in the fifth and a single run in their final at bat.
Central Mountain starting pitcher Kevin Grenninger held the host Green Dragons in check, allowing no runs on no hits in four innings of work. Blake Walker and Austin Frank both pitched in relief. Lewisburg managed just 4 hits for the game.
Foltz paced the offense with his two home runs. Blake Walker also collected a pair of hits, with one being a double. Nathan Wian also smacked a pair of hits, including a double of his own.
Grenninger, Brady Myers, Gardner Fravel, Gavin Karstetter, Watt Probst, Brady Lavelle, Isaiah Maldonado and Chase Beard also delivered hits for the Wildcats. Maldonado’s hit was a double.
Central Mountain, now 13-5 will square off against Midd-West on Wednesday.
