Lady Phoenix Win Big: 13-3 Over Millville

BOONEVILLE- Sugar Valley Lady Phoenix ignited the field with an electrifying performance on Tuesday night as they hosted Millville, securing a 13-3 victory.

Dakota Holdren showcased a strong day from behind the pitching circle, striking out an 11 batters while conceding only 5 hits and three runs.

The Lady Phoenix wasted no time asserting their dominance, capitalizing on their opportunities early in the game. They surged ahead with 3 runs in the first inning, followed by 2 in the second, 4 in the third, and another 4 in the fourth. Despite Millville’s attempts to rally in the fourth and fifth innings, scoring two and one run respectively, the Lady Phoenix had already sealed their fate with their formidable lead.

Remarkably, despite the lopsided score, the Lady Phoenix managed to tally four hits throughout the game and getting 13 walks. Hits came courtesy of Marrin Clester, Olivia Clester, Evangeline Andrus, and Lilly Mundrick. Their aggressive baserunning also paid dividends, as they amassed an impressive total of 13 stolen bases.

With the Victory The Lady Phoenix now turn their sights towards their upcoming clash against Montgomery on Thursday.
