Lady Bucks take control of District IV with convincing 12-2 win over Montgomery

FARWELL- It was business as usual for Bucktail’s Lady Bucks softball team against rival Montgomery on Thursday night.
The Lady Bucks would use 13 hits and take advantage of 3 Lady Red Raider errors to put away Montgomery in 5 innings.
Bucktail took advantage of solid hitting through their first two at bats to build an 8-0 lead and never looked back. Montgomery would fight throughout by scoring a run in the third and another in the fourth inning to close to 10-2.
The Lady Bucks added two runs in the fourth inning and another pair in the fifth inning to close out the game.
Six Lady Bucks had multiple hit days. Mak Wagner would go 2 for 4 on the day with 2 runs batted in. Lola English continued her hot start by going 2 for 3 with a pair of runs scored. Eva Sockman would extend her hit streak to 21 games by going 2 for 2 with an RBI. Kendall Wagner and Gigi Balchun also collected two hits each. Makenna Stone also had a hit for Lady Bucks.
Mak Wagner continued her strong start in the circle by pitching 2 innings, allowing just one hit and no runs. Stone also continued to pitch well in relief with her third straight solid effort for Bucktail.
Bucktail will next be in action at home on Monday when they host fellow Mid Penn Conference opponents Benton at 4:30.
