Obituary – James A. Stringfellow
James A. Stringfellow, 63, of Beech Creek passed away Friday, January 12, 2024 at UPMC Susquehanna, Williamsport.
Born March 5, 1960, he was a son of the late Calvin and Margie (Allen) Stringfellow.
Jim was a graduate of Lock Haven High School.
Over the years, he was employed at various companies including Nicholas Meat, Autoline, Champion Parts and finally at Kohen’s Cleaning until his retirement in 2020.
In his younger years, Jim enjoyed camping.
More recently, he loved the “meat shop” that he established in his daughter’s garage. It was there that he made the sausage, bologna and jerky- just to name a few, that he was known for.
Surviving are his daughters, Kimberly (Shawn) Brungard of Mill Hall and Janice (Jeremy Weidler) Stringfellow of Beech Creek; a brother, Keith Stringfellow of Mill Hall; a sister, Joan Rhine of Avis; six grandchildren: Alyssa and Tyler Hritzko, Colin Weidler, Navara Reynolds and Hayley and Blaine Walizer; six great grandchildren: Cameron, Colt, Cyleigh, Huntley, Wrennan and Lakelynn; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Kathy Stiver, Janice Barner and Gale Geyer.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at 10 AM at Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, PA 17745. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park, Lock Haven.
Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6 until 8 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help offset funeral expenses.
