LHU Men’s Wrestling jumps to No. 21; Noto ranked second

LOCK HAVEN, PA – The Lock Haven men’s wrestling team has jumped to No. 21 in this week’s InterMat national team tournament rankings and returning All-American Anthony Noto has returned to No. 2 at 125 pounds.

Last week, the Bald Eagles checked in at No. 24 in InterMat’s team tournament rankings.

This week, Lock Haven sits in a tie for 21st with Illinois and The Haven remains the only team from the Mid-American Conference (MAC) ranked.

Noto, who was ranked No. 3 last week, jumped back into the No. 2 spot this week at 125 pounds. He’s one of four Lock Haven wrestlers ranked by InterMat.

Wyatt Henson is ranked No. 25 at 141 pounds. Tyler Stoltzfus (174 lbs.) and Isaac Reid (285 lbs.) are ranked No. 32 and No. 29, respectively.

Noto, a returning All-American, led the way for Lock Haven last weekend at the Patriot Open. He went a perfect 4-0 and claimed the 125-pound title behind a dominating effort that included two tech falls and a pin. Noto is a perfect 6-0 this season and he’s now 71-7 for his career.

Schedule Update:
Lock Haven head coach Scott Moore has announced that several Bald Eagles will now compete Saturday, Dec. 9 at the Cleveland State Open. Action is set for a 9:30 a.m. start. Fans can follow the action live with live results/brackets produced by FloArena.

Looking Ahead:
The Bald Eagles are set to compete at the Collegiate Duals on Tuesday, Dec. 19. The event will be held at Montgomery Bell Academy in Nashville, Tennessee and features elite competition as Lock Haven is set to face nationally-ranked NC State, Ohio State and Northern Iowa.
