LHU Women’s Basketball ranked No. 10 in D2CSC Atlantic Region Poll

LOCK HAVEN, PA – The Lock Haven women’s basketball team was voted 10th in the Division II College Sports Communicators (D2CSC) Atlantic Region poll after a 3-0 week that included a perfect 2-0 start in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC).

Lock Haven, who have won five games in a row, moved into the poll at No. 10 after not being ranked or receiving votes the previous week. The ranking for the Bald Eagles is their second since the 2018-19 season.

The winning streak has been powered by the Bald Eagles defense, who are holding opponents to 60.2 points per game, while forcing 116 turnovers, which ranks fifth in the PSAC.

The Bald Eagles kicked off their PSAC schedule with a hard-fought 59-57 victory over University of Pitt-Johnstown, before downing IUP, 65-54, to cap off the week.

The victory over IUP was the first for The Haven since 2007.

The Bald Eagles started the week with a convincing 66-50 victory on the road at non-conference foe Georgian Court.

Alana Robinson highlighted the run last week by earning PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Week. The sophomore forward was the key contributor in the victory over IUP as she poured in a career-high 24 points, while adding seven rebounds, four assists, five blocks and three steals.

The Bald Eagles travel to Roberts Wesleyan on Saturday (Dec. 9) at 1 p.m. for a non-conference game.
