LHU Women’s Basketball soars to fifth straight victory, down IUP for first time since 2007
LOCK HAVEN, PA – The Lock Haven women’s basketball team won its fifth straight game and clinched a perfect weekend in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) after defeating Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), 66-54, in an East-West crossover contest on Saturday afternoon (Dec. 2).
With the victory, the Bald Eagles improve to 5-1 overall and a perfect 2-0 in the PSAC. The Bald Eagles have not lost since their opening game. IUP falls for the first time in conference (1-1), while dropping to 4-2 overall.

Lock Haven lead after every quarter and saved its best for last, outscoring the Crimson Hawks, 17-7, to put the game away in the fourth quarter.
Both teams shot 49 percent from the floor, but the Bald Eagles again used their defense to spark offense as they led the turnover battle 17-14, steals 10-6 and blocks 7-0. The Bald Eagles also continue to live at the free throw line, knocking down nine shots at the charity stripe compared to just five for IUP.
Lock Haven’s best offensive outburst came in the second quarter when they totaled 22 points on a scorching 10-of-13 shots from the floor.
