County Auditor Crowell Elected State Association President

INDIANA – Clinton County auditor Michelle Crowell has been named President of the Pennsylvania State Association of County Auditors for 2019. Crowell has served as vice-president this year and as a member of the organization’s executive board in 2017.

Crowell said, “I feel very honored to have been elected to this position by my fellow auditors across the state. Our association is committed to providing educational opportunities to County Auditors so that we can better serve our counties.”

The Pennsylvania State Association of County Auditors (PSACA) consists of 84 members from 28 counties in Pennsylvania. Their mission is to advance the professional development of their members by providing continuing education, training and technical resources and for such further purposes helpful to the greater efficiency for the function of the office of County Auditor.

Crowell was elected to her current county seat in 2011 and reelected in 2015. She lives in Lock Haven with her husband, Bill and daughter Maia.

In her role as President of the Association, Crowell will be responsible for coordinating
the educational portion of the 2019 Annual Conference and providing additional support to members of the association. The conference is scheduled to be held in Elk County next October.

“A County auditor serves as the watchdog over the tax-payers money. I have always taken this job very seriously, and I appreciate this opportunity that the voters of Clinton County have given me” she said. “I hope to make Clinton County proud by serving as the President of the Pennsylvania State Association of County Auditors. I intend to bring the knowledge that I have already gained while serving for the past seven years, and hope to provide more educational opportunities to auditors across Pennsylvania.”
