Former Mill Hall man apprehended in Kentucky in two-year-old local case

LAMAR TOWNSHIP, PA – Mill Hall police report the apprehension of a former borough resident wanted in a March 2021 vehicle crash in Lamar Township.

Borough police said James A Biederman was apprehended on Friday at 1:30 a.m. in Louisville, Kentucky by the Louisville Metro Police Dept fugitive task force, Mill Hall police said Biederman was involved in a crash on Auction Road in Lamar Township on March 10, 2021. They said he crashed into an occupied vehicle causing injury to the victim, then fled the scene. A short time later he was located in Mill Hall, alleged to be intoxicated. He was subsequently charged with DUI, accidents involving death or injury, and summary offenses. Police said he fled the state several days later.

Biederman remains in the Metro Dept of Corrections in Louisville while he awaits extradition back to Pennsylvania.
