MILL HALL, PA – Golf and wrestling mixed nicely last Friday when the Clinton Country Club hosted the Nittany Lion Wrestling Club’s golf outing. The tournament drew some 120 golfers and saw visits from Penn State wrestling coach Cael Sanderson, staff members, along with present and past Nittany Lion wrestlers.

Sanderson told The Record he has not golfed in recent years but did mash a ball a great distance off Clinton’s number 17 tee. The nationally recognized coach thanked the tourney participants. A post-tourney auction was held and proceeds from the event help support the NLWC which presently hosts some 20 post-collegiate wrestlers who train at Penn State for national and international tournaments, in addition to the Olympics.

The event was hosted by Clinton Country Club and sponsors included Miller Brothers Auto Sales, Sun Belt Rentals, Precise Electrical, The Hartman Group, Keystone Payroll and Woodlands Bank, Lazer Wash, WYDE Excavation, Architects Millshop and several silent and live auction sponsors.
