Keystone Central School District receives donation for school Backpack Programs

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP, PA – Davis Insurance Agency, LLC in conjunction with the Tuscarora Wayne Mutual Foundation recently made a $1,000 contribution to the Keystone Central School District’s Backpack Program.

This is the second year in a row that Davis Insurance Agency, LLC has selected the Backpack Program as the 501(c)3 charity of its choice since it aligns with Tuscarora Wayne Mutual Foundation’s mission to combat food insecurity and provide healthy food to local children and families in need.

The school district’s Backpack Program provides students with easy to prepare foods that go home with students in their backpacks just before weekends and school breaks. The program has been a community-wide effort and this donation, along with others, is helping grow the program for KCSD 5th and 6th grade students.

Accepting the check on the school district’s behalf was Keystone Central Foundation Executive Director, Melissa Bottorf. The Foundation works with local businesses and other foundations who are interested in making tax-deductible contributions to help educational experiences and initiatives throughout the district.
