Sugar Valley Fire Company victim of $8,800 theft by deception
LOGANTON, PA – State police say the Sugar Valley Community Fire Company is out $8,800 as someone cashed fraudulent checks in that amount.
The police report said the checks were cashed over the last week of March, the money from the fire company’s account at Northwest Bank in Lock Haven.
The police investigation said an unknown actor/actors obtained the fire company’s bank account information and proceeded to create fraudulent checks using the company’s account information.
