State police report wintertime $42,000 Flemington theft

FLEMINGTON, PA – State police say a Flemington man, Robert Bardo, 76, of W. Fourth St., came to them in late February to report he had been deceived out of over $42,000 by a former friend.

The loss included, police said, a Cabela’s credit card valued at $12,157.51 and $30,585 in money.
Police said their investigation is ongoing.

State police also on Sunday released word on an accidental death they say occurred on the afternoon of Feb. 26 along Shortway Road in Lamar Township. They said the victim was a 66-year-old male with a Mill Hall address. Their report said he fell down stairs, resulting in his death. The victim’s identity was not released.
