Beech Creek man convicted of dealing methamphetamine and suboxone

LOCK HAVEN, PA – A Clinton County jury on Friday returned a guilty verdict against Kyle James St. Clair of Beech Creek on three counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, three counts of delivery of a controlled substance, one count of criminal use of a controlled substance, and three counts of possession of a controlled substance.

St. Clair faces a maximum jail sentence of sixty years incarceration. St. Clair faces sentencing at a later date before Judge Michael F. Salisbury, who presided at trial as well.

Assistant District Attorney Edward Ferguson prosecuted the case for the Commonwealth. Ferguson offered testimony from a confidential informant and four members of law enforcement. The evidence outlined three distinct events where St. Clair sold controlled substances to the confidential informant. The first occurred at the Lucky 7 truck stop in middle February of 2022 where St. Clair sold buprenorphine (Subutex).

The next two drug deliveries occurred shortly after in late February and early March 2022 at a residence in Beech Creek where St. Clair twice sold methamphetamine to the confidential informant. St. Clair testified in his own defense claiming it wasn’t him. When questioned how the confidential informant three times went to St. Clair with cash and no drugs, but came back to law enforcement with no cash and drugs, St. Clair had no explanation.

The case was filed by Pine Creek Township Police Sgt. Denny Gill. Source: Clinton County District Attorney’s Office
