Stormwater improvement project starts Monday in Lock Haven’s Sunset Pines
LOCK HAVEN, PA – Work is to begin Monday on the Sunset Pines Stormwater Improvement Project and the city is alerting motorists to be alert while traveling on Sylvan Drive.
Contractor HRI, Inc. of State College has mobilized equipment and materials to the job site along Sylvan Drive. On Monday the contractor will begin preparing the site by setting up traffic control and saw-cutting the roadway in preparation for new pipes and storm infrastructure. The work will be between Hill Street and Terrace Drive along Sylvan Drive.
The contractor will only be closing the road at the north portion of Morning Side Drive and Sylvan drive for vehicular safety and stockpiling of equipment and materials for the project. In a release, the city said there will be very few vehicular conflicts throughout the project as most of the work is on the eastern side of Sylvan Drive. The contractor may have the road partially closed for their construction but never completely closed and vehicles will be able to pass freely.
Due to the incline and sight distance along Sylvan Drive, it is asked that everyone please be aware of the construction for your safety and for the contractor’s safety while traveling Sylvan Drive.
All questions can be directed to the Public Works Department by phone at (570) 893-5917 or if anyone would like to be included on a progress update email chain, please email dpw@lockhavenpa.gov to be added to that group where weekly updates will be sent.
