Whitney enters GOP race for Clinton County Commissioner
WOOLRICH- Clinton County resident and Republican Michele Whitney has announced her run for Clinton County Commissioner.
In her candidacy announcement, she said her noteworthy public service includes devoting countless hours volunteering and giving back to communities. Her most recent endeavor is founding the Patriots of Clinton County, whose mission is to recruit and assist strong Republican candidates for public office.
Michele is a 1986 graduate of Lock Haven High School. She spent a decade in law enforcement and 16 years as an Air Force military spouse. She possesses a solid 25-year extensive background in technology and leadership, including working for Microsoft as a Technical Support Engineer Team Manager. Her release said in addition to numerous IT industry-level certifications, Michele has offered her IT and small business consultant competencies with volunteer organizations and small businesses alike, empowering their success. Focused on creating affirmative transformation within Clinton County, Michele intends to use many of the leadership traits, business insights, and work ethics she has shaped to help grow Clinton County.
Michele is the daughter of the late Raymond Whitney, former LHU Professor Emeritus of Mathematics; and the late Elizabeth Whitney, former mathematics and computer science teacher at the former Sugar Valley High School in Loganton. Both inspired Michele to value the importance of education and professional development.
Michele resides in Woolrich with her husband, an Air Force active duty retiree and fire service consultant.
