Renovo native Poleto in line to be new Bucktail principal
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP, PA – Keystone Central School District Superintendent Jacquelyn Martin, at the Thursday night’s school board work session noted the attendance of James Poleto, introduced by her as the district’s recommendation for the next principal at Bucktail High School; that recommendation to be acted on at the board’s March 9 voting session.
After the meeting concluded, the district posted a formal announcement:
Keystone Central School District is pleased to announce that Mr. James Poleto has been named the new principal of Bucktail Middle/High School pending board approval at the March 9, 2023 Voting Meeting. His start date in the role is expected to be in late spring.
Poleto, a resident of Lock Haven and Bucktail High School graduate, replaces Mr. Michael Hall who recently resigned to accept an administrative position in the Keystone School District in Knox, PA.
“Mr. Poleto will be a perfect fit for the role of Bucktail High School Principal”, said Superintendent Dr. Jacquelyn Martin. “As a Bucktail Alumnus, he has a deep understanding of the community. He is fully committed to the students and will be an asset to our administrative team”.
Mr. Poleto currently serves as an assistant principal at Jackson Elementary in the Williamsport Area School District. He has completed his Principal Internship at both Clearfield Area High School and Clearfield Area Elementary School and has nine years of educational experience as a high school Spanish teacher.
Upon acceptance of his new position, Mr. Poleto stated, “I am truly honored to have the opportunity to serve as Bucktail’s next principal. As a Bucktail graduate, I hope to inspire our students and look forward to serving our school community in this new role”.
