Brinker announces re-election bid for Lock Haven City Council

LOCK HAVEN, PA – I, Dr. Jeff Brinker, am announcing my re-election campaign for the Lock Haven City Council seat. I am seeking the Republican nomination. It is my belief that public service is a responsibility that we all share and we should all be willing to contribute our time and best effort toward the community in which we live. Winston Churchill said it best, “A leader is best when people barely know he exists, when his work is done, his aim fulfilled, they will say: we did it ourselves.”

Having lived in the City of Lock Haven for 17 years, with my wife Bethany, having raised ten children in the town where my mother grew up, and having worked for Keystone Central School District for 28 years as a K-12 health and physical educator, and head soccer/wrestling coach, I am aware of the needs of the community, the benefits of living downtown, the importance of being part of a team, as well as the challenges our city faces.

My service to the community began over 30 years ago, during this time I have been the Clinton County Gideons President, President of West Branch Soccer Club, and volunteered my time to the Wildcat Elementary Wrestling Club, and Woolrich Little league. My family is a member of the House of the Lord Fellowship church. In addition, I currently serve as the Lock Haven City Councilman, and Clinton County Republican State Committeeman.

My experience has taught me patience, cooperation, and the benefits of working together for the common good. I will support the goals laid out in the Comprehensive Plan the City adopted to improve Destination Lock Haven, work to improve public safety, and encourage economic downtown development.
