Lock Haven men’s soccer: Hershey Named to D2CCA First-Team All-Region

ATHENS, WVA. – The Division II Conference Commissioner’s Association (D2CCA) recently released its All-Region teams and Samuel Hershey (Lancaster, Pa./McCaskey) was named to the First-Team in the Atlantic Region.

For the sophomore Hershey, it marks his second straight appearance on the D2CCA First-Team. Recently, Hershey was named to the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) First-Team All-Conference, and he also brought home the Eastern Division Athlete of the Year award.

During the 2022 regular season, Hershey posted a team-high and conference third-best 11 goals. He also added four assists for a conference fifth-best 26 points.

Hershey started and played in 17 games for Lock Haven and was twice named the PSAC East Athlete of the Week. In the Bald Eagles win over D’Youville, the forward exploded for seven total points including a hat trick of goals and one assist.
