LH wrestling’s Crimson & White Dual set for Friday, Oct. 21

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – As the Bald Eagles continue to prepare for the official start of the 2022-23 season, the Lock Haven Division I men’s wrestling team is excited to host the program’s annual Crimson & White dual. The event is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 21 in Roger’s Gymnasium.

Friday’s annual Crimson and White intrasquad-exhibition dual serves as Lock Haven’s wrestle-offs. The prelims are set for a 4 p.m. start and the finals will begin at 5 p.m. Friday.

As the Bald Eagles approach the new season, InterMat Wrestling has the trio of Anthony Noto, Ashton Eyler and Isaac Reid ranked among the top-33 at their respective weight class. Noto is ranked No. 13 at 125 pounds and Reid is ranked No. 15 at 285. Eyler is ranked No. 20 at 157 pounds, down a weight class from last season. All three were NCAA Division I national tournament qualifiers last season.

Noto will look to repeat as a Mid-American Conference (MAC) champion after his individual title run helped power the Bald Eagle to their first MAC team championship. Eyler was second (165 lbs.) at the MAC Tournament a last season and Reid finished as runner-up as well.

Lock Haven will officially open the 2022-23 season on Sunday, Nov. 6 at the Princeton Open. The Bald Eagles will open dual action on Friday, Nov. 11 with a long-awaited return to Rec Hall to take on local-rival and top-ranked Penn State.

The first home event of the season is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 27 as the Bald Eagles host the annual Mat-Town Open I tournament in Thomas Fieldhouse. On Thursday, Dec. 1, it will be a “White Out” in the fieldhouse as The Haven welcomes Davidson and former assistant coach Nate Carr, Jr. to town for a non-conference dual. Carr was named Davidson’s new head coach in August. The full 2022-23 Lock Haven men’s wrestling schedule is available at GoLHU.com.
