Sugar Valley golfers fall to Shamokin in season opener

MACKEYVILLE, PA – The Sugar Valley golf team dropped their first match of the season Wednesday, falling to Shamokin by a score of 187-245.

The 9-hole match took place at Belles Springs with low scores from Shamokin’s Hayden Karlovich (44) and Kennedy Petrovich (45), Sugar Valley’s Noah Pletcher with a team best 55.

SV Golf will be back in action on Monday for the annual Susquehanna River Rivalry against Central Mountain and Jersey Shore at the Clinton Country Club starting at 1 p.m.
