NORTH BEND – Clyde L. Johnson, 82, 221 Hyner Run Road, North Bend, PA, formerly a resident of Emporium, PA., died October 29, 2014 at his home. He was born August 23, 1932 in North Bend the son of the late Merrill L. and Dorothy Hiller Johnson. On August 5, 1961 he married Olive L. Stone who died June 25, 1999.

He was a 1950 graduate of the Renovo High School and a member of the Hyner United Methodist Church. Clyde retired in 1994 from the Pennsylvania Railroad after 47 years of service. He had been a locomotive engineer.

Clyde was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the U. S. Air Force. Clyde was a lifelong member of the Masonic Lodge in Renovo. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping and was a world traveler. Clyde was devoted to his wife and loved his family.

Clyde is survived by three sons: Darry C. (Anna) Johnson, of Lorton, VA, Ray O. Johnson of Renovo, PA and Wayde A. Johnson, of Spring Mills, PA; one daughter, Tanis (Rusty) Henrickson, of Berwick, PA; one brother, Merrill T. (Betty) Johnson, of Lock Haven, PA; three sisters, Leah (James) Helm of Lock Haven, PA, Barbara J. Johnson of Mechanicsburg, PA and Sandra Austin of San Leon, TX; nine grandchildren, Taryn, Amanda, Morgan, Alessandra, Olivia, Jacob, Kiri, Tanner and McKayen; and six great grandchildren, Nevaeh, Ryland, McKayle, Kambree, Vinny and Miyah. Clyde is also survived by his companion and friend, Shirley Kisko of Shintown, PA and also many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert & James (Poss) Johnson.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at the North Bend Chapman Township Fire Hall with the Rev. Robert Pickering and Lay Servant, Martha Sykes officiating. Internment will be in the Hyner Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hyner United Methodist Church thru the funeral home. Arrangements are entrusted to the Dean K.
