State COVID update

HARRISBURG, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Health on Sunday reported 7,231 new COVID-19 cases.

The state reported 4,527 patients hospitalized due to COVID, down 66 from Saturday; those in ICU numbered 930, an increase of three from Saturday.

Clinton County reported 18 new cases for a total of 6,523 cases. In Centre County 124 new cases were recorded for a total of 24,540; the number of new cases is the highest since 125 were reported on Dec. 9. Lycoming County added 46 new cases for a total of 21,025.

The death count in Clinton County remained at 99 on Sunday while 20 new deaths were recorded by the state.
