Phoenix wins first-ever home match
LOGANTON, PA – Tuesday night was special at the brand new Sugar Valley Rural Charter School gym: It was the
first-ever home match and a big victory for Phoenix wrestling, winning by a score of 39-24 against Loyalsock. Key bout wins came from Corey King with a fall and Cayden Weaver who rallied from a 7-1 deficit to win 8-7.
There were some tough losses from Isaiah Conoway and Kyle Stahl
who came up just short in their matchups.
The Phoenix junior high grapplers were edged by Loyalsock
by a 30-28 score.
SVRCS (1-0) will host Montgomery on Thursday with junior high action starting at 6 p.m.
