LHU/KCSD Homecoming Parade set for Thursday evening

LOCK HAVEN – COVID-19 prevented the joint Lock Haven University/Keystone Central School District Homecoming Parade in 2020, but the second such event is set to go through downtown Lock Haven Thursday evening.

The parade will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday at E. Main and Henderson streets and travel up Main Street, concluding at LHU’s East Campus. Following the parade a pep rally will be held for parents and students. More than 30 units from the school district and the university are expected in the parade route. The fun will continue on the LHU main campus with the school’s 10th annual golf cart parade and lawn party as part of the LHU homecoming weekend.

Even the weatherman is cooperating. An earlier prediction of rain Thursday evening has been modified to state no precipitation until 7 p.m. and then just a chance of scattered thunderstorms.

Therecord-online will provide a live stream of the parade from near the judges’ stand adjacent to the Lock Haven Elks Lodge.
