Otto-Eldred downs Bucks, 28-7

DUKE CENTER, PA –The Bucktail football team ventured west to Otto-Eldred, only to have the host Terrors ruin the trip, sending the Bucks home with a 28-7 defeat. The loss put the Bucks at 0-7 as they will return to Farwell next Friday, Oct. 22, to host Brockway. The win put Otto-Eldred at 2-6.

Terror running back Ryan Love proved to be a terror Friday night; he scored three touchdowns on 142 yards rushing in 15 carries. His scores came on runs of 44, 24 and 25 yards.

The Bucks hung with the home team through the first half, trailing by a 7-0 score. But Love made the Terrors’ lead all but insurmountable, putting up the first two scores of the second half.

The Bucks’ Zach Pick provided a spark for Bucktail with an 80-yard kickoff return for the touchdown. Pick also led Buck rushers with 29 yards on 8 rushes. Quarterback Dylan Cross was 5-for-11 passing for 37 yards, along with two passes picked off; Cross carried 8 times for 29 yards as the Terrors held Bucktail to 111 yards offensively.

Brockway (3-5), next Friday’s Buck opponent, fell 26-21 to Port Alleghany (3-4) on Friday night.
