SELINSGROVE, PA – The Central Mountain boys’ soccer team lost another close game to another solid District 4 program Tuesday at Selinsgrove, the host Seals holding off the Wildcats for a 3-2 win.

Going down 1-0 early, the Wildcats bounced back to tie it up after a great cross by Zane Cooper found fellow sophomore Peyton Jones’ left foot at the back post to tie it up.

His team down 3-1 with some time left in the second half, Nate Brinker’s cross bounced around in the box before sophomore Asher Talbot could get a head on the ball and into the back of the net to make it 3-2. A few late chances just missed, and the Wildcats could not complete the comeback.

The Wildcats, now 1-4, are to host Mifflinburg on Thursday and home again Saturday with Warrior Run for Senior Day. The Saturday contest with the Defenders will be streamed on therecord-online..
