COVID cases surge statewide
HARRISBURG, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Health on Friday reported 5,005 new COVID-19 cases across the state. That is the highest one-day figure since spring.
In Clinton County 13 new cases were reported on Friday, bringing the total to 3,997. Centre County saw an increase of 68 to 18,230, while Lycoming County increased by 58 to 13,068.
There are 2,147 individuals hospitalized with COVID-19 statewide, up 29 from Thursday. Of that number, 535 patients are in the intensive care unit with COVID-19, an increase of 13 from Thursday; 268 were on ventilators, down 28 from the previous day..
37 new deaths were reported by the state; the death count in Clinton County remained at 69 through Thursday.
