Adam Kaylor named LHU Athletic Communications Assistant

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Former Lock Haven University graduate assistant Adam Kaylor returns to the Bald Eagles’ nest as an integral member of the LHU Athletic Communications and Marketing department this year.

Kaylor will assist in and oversee all aspects of publicizing, promoting, and marketing The Haven’s 21 intercollegiate athletic teams, including LHU’s NCAA Division I field hockey and wrestling programs.

“I’m thrilled to welcome Adam back to The Haven,” said LHU Senior Director of Athletic Communications & Marketing Doug Spatafore. “His skillset is vast, versatile and there is no doubt he will make a major and immediate impact at LHU and on Lock Haven University athletics. I’m confident that Adam’s addition will allow us to provide high-quality coverage of our student-athletes and athletic programs in new and exciting ways.”

Kaylor is a 2018 summa cum laude graduate of LHU where he earned his bachelor of science in sports administration. Following, he earned his master of science (M.S.) in sports administration and his M.S. in Sport and Exercise Psychology at Lock Haven in 2020, while simultaneously serving as a sports information and strategic communications graduate assistant.

In those two years, Kaylor played a vital role in all facets of promoting LHU Athletics. Kaylor managed a lead role in the development of web-media content and feature development for GoLHU.com and oversaw LHU’s statistical operations for all sports.

“I am so excited to be back at The Haven promoting our Bald Eagles. I cannot wait to see all of our sports back in action this upcoming year and do all that I can to help take the University and it’s athletic programs to new heights,” said Kaylor. “I am so grateful for the opportunity to be back in Lock Haven and to rejoin the staff as we push forward into the 2021-22 year.”

In 2018, Kaylor served as an operations intern for the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour, a prestigious junior golf tour, and aided in all operations of running successful tournaments. In 2019, Kaylor served as a social media correspondent for the NCAA Division II Field Hockey National Championships. Prior to that, he worked as event staff at Lock Haven for gameday operations.
