Lock Haven JAMS: York Street Hustle to perform on Main Street Saturday
LOCK HAVEN, PA – In conjunction with Lock Haven JAMS, Lock Haven’s 2021 Concert Series is excited to welcome the York Street Hustle to the Elks Stage this Saturday evening from 6 to 8:30 p.m. The performance will be outside the entrance to the Elks ballroom on E. Main Street.
Philadelphia’s York Street Hustle is one of the most dynamic Motown Tribute bands around.They specialize in the classic sounds of the 1960’s. Legends, like Stevie, Aretha, and the Four Tops; lesser-known artists including Donny Hathaway, Arthur Conley, and Betty Everett—are all given new life.
With grit, sweat, and attention to detail, the York Street Hustle is the Northeast’s premier 10-piece 1960’s soul tribute. This is not your typical Motown wedding band! In a few short years the York Street Hustle has gone from filling tiny South Street bars to repeated sell outs of WXPN’s World Café Live. Their repertoire now spans over 80 songs, including more than a decades worth of Detroit, Memphis, and Chicago Soul.
The public is invited to attend this free summer concert, and all the concerts featured at the 2021 LH Jams. Please visit www.lhjams.org for a complete schedule of the weekend. Seating will not be provided; therefore, the public is asked to bring a lawn chair.
While the committee is excited to offer these free concerts this summer, residents should remain vigilant to the threat of COVID-19. To successfully continue the summer concert series, residents and guests are asked to follow CDC and DOH guidelines to reduce the risk of exposure to COVID-19. To that end, the city will provide hand-washing stations at each of the summer concerts. Anyone who is experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or is included in a higher risk population are encouraged to keep their health and the health of their fellow residents as their primary interest and not attend.
