Piper Building reopens after power outage
LOCK HAVEN, PA – Clinton County’s Piper Building reopened to public use on Friday after a Thursday power outage, caused by a lightning strike and a generator failure, caused its shutdown on Thursday.
Board chairman Miles Kessinger said the building is open the public while repairs are being carried out.
Commissioner Jeff Snyder said, “Once PPL replaced the transformer damaged by a lightning strike , we were able to get the server room up and running so all services were restored; internet and phones.
The communication center has protocol in place so they did not skip a beat.
The was some damage to some electrical circuits in the mechanical room that affected the air conditioning; they are being repaired today.”
