Lock Haven’s Momoyo Otsu announces expansion
LOCK HAVEN, PA – Less than a year after opening their women’s clothing store in downtown Lock Haven, the owners of Momoyo Otsu have announced expansion plans. Owners Hanna and Jordan Stover recently took to social media to announce their store at E. Main and Grove Streets will later this year takeover the adjacent storefront to provide needed additional space.
Before taking a brief (through July 10) store holiday break, the Stover’s provided the background on the expansion: “These past few months we’ve come to realize we need more space. We keep finding all these fun products and getting many requests of items you all would love to see in Momoyo Otsu. We want to offer you with even more products to shop. We did some brainstorming and the only way to do that would be to expand into the space next to us.”
They said the expansion will provide significant additional square footage and all in one location. The completion goal is by Black Friday. They said there will be considerable Martina Guerra jewelry in the expanded area. The new space will enable the current space to show more clothing, handbags and more as the jewelry in the existing store space will be relocated to the newly acquired space.
Momoyo Otsu opened its downtown site last November after operating previously for two years online.
Hanna Stover wrote of the progress since last November: “When we first opened our doors we were in very scary times with the pandemic. All we knew was we had a love for downtown Lock Haven, a dream of a fashion boutique, and most importantly, a dream of the town being lined with tons of shops (how many refer to the town when they were kids). We love being able to be a part of Downtown Lock Haven. We feel so blessed to be surrounded by the most amazing business owners who are genuinely like family to us.”
