LOCK HAVEN, PA – A Little Bird’s “nest” on Grove Street quickly became too small, so the gift store has moved to a new location at 132 E. Main Street. A first ribbon-cutting at the first location was held last November. Friday a Main Street ribbon-cutting was staged at the new and three times larger site.

“It’s exciting to be doing this for a second time in only seven months,” said Tina Newberry just before she and co-owner Lisa Henderson cut a ribbon to celebrate their grand opening in the new location. “Our business model is based on giving back and we’re happy that our products support so many worthy organizations. But our success is also a reflection of this community and the support we’ve seen from so many people.”

Lisa Henderson echoed Newberry, saying, “We are very grateful for the support we’ve received from customers, as well as organizations such as the Clinton County Economic Partnership, Downtown Lock Haven, Inc., and building owners Dana and Sean Krieger. We’re excited to be situated in the heart of the downtown.”

This weekend is their official grand opening and they invite everyone to stop by (weekdays 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a. m. – 3 p. m.). The shop features fun and unique gifts that always “give back,” as their products support small, local, women-owned and eco-friendly and charitable businesses.

A Little Bird started as an online business only, at www.alittlebirddesigns.com, but has now grown to the point that the larger downtown storefront was needed.
