HILLSDALE, MICH – Competing in an elite field at the 54th annual GINA Relays, hosted by Hillsdale College, distance-standout Laurel Moyer (Lock Haven, Pa./Central Mountain) of the Lock Haven University women’s outdoor track & field team shined once again for the Bald Eagles. Friday night she smashed the school record at 10,000 meters with a huge personal-best outing.

Moyer was second out of 18 in the women’s 10K championship race. She ran 35:01.81, nearly dipping under the 35-minute mark. The time marked a 48 second personal-best and broke the school record by 32 seconds.

It’s the fastest time run by any Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) female runner this spring by over two minutes and the NCAA Division II championship provisional qualifying mark is currently the 10th fastest time run this season in Division II.

The rest of the LHU men’s and women’s track & field teams will be in action Saturday at the 16th annual Paul Kaiser Track & Field Classic, hosted by Shippensburg University.
