Francis Anthony Renzo – Obituary
Francis Anthony Renzo, 83, of Dogwood Drive, Lock Haven passed away peacefully in his home on Wednesday, March 31, 2021.
Born on August 22, 1938, in Lock Haven, he was the son of the late Anthony Renzo and Mary Veneziano.
Francis was a graduate of the former Lock Haven High School. In 1957 he was united in marriage to Sandra Lea Douty, his wife of 61 years, who predeceased him on March 17, 2019.
Francis proudly served his country as a member of the National Guard for nine years.
Francis was employed by R.K. Griffin Chair Factory, Capital Industries, and the Department of Interior Fish and Wildlife Services in Lamar, PA. In 1981, he received a Special Achievement Award from the United States Department of Interior for his outstanding work and contribution to the hatchery’s building and facilities. Francis went on to work for over twenty years as the Maintenance Supervisor for the Clinton County Government, retiring in 1998.
Throughout the years, Francis and his wife Sandra enjoyed the simple things in life. Francis spent his time gardening, hunting, and fishing at “camp” in Towanda, PA. Francis was a hardworking, loyal husband and father whose life centered around family and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are two daughters and two sons, Cheryl (Larry) Moran of The Villages, Florida, Tracy Renzo of Lock Haven, PA, Shawn Renzo of Olmstead Falls, Ohio, and Zane (Krista) Renzo of Lock Haven; seven grandchildren, Trevor (Meadow) Reeder, Kaycie (Danny) Sisowath, Samuel Renzo, Keith Schmidt, Henry Renzo, Gianna Renzo, and James Renzo; three great-grandchildren, Kaydan Sisowath, Aurora Reeder, and Mason Sisowath, and a special nephew Hunter (Rita) Hinds.
Francis’ Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, April 5, 2021, at 1 p.m. at the Woolrich Fire Department, Woolrich, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Camp Cadet, 720 Coudersport Pk., Lock Haven, PA 17745.
