James Francis Miller – Obituary

James Francis Miller, 89, of Lock Haven, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at the Hollidaysburg Veterans’ Home.

Born in Lock Haven on December 23, 1931, he was the son of the late George M. and Dorothy Sellers Miller.

James attended St. Agnes Catholic School prior to graduating from Lock Haven High School.

He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, proudly serving during the Korean War from 1952 until his Honorable Discharge in 1954.

In 1955 at the St. Agnes Catholic Church in Lock Haven, James married the former G. Marie Bailey, who survives.

He was employed at HRB Systems until his retirement in 1989.

James was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Parish, attending St. Agnes Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Lock Haven American Legion and a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV).

In his more able years, James enjoyed tinkering with his cars. Most of all, he loved the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Marie, he is survived by a son, Dennis James Miller of Virginia; two grandchildren, Jeremy and Erin Miller; and a great grandchild, Marik.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and George Miller, Jr.

A private Mass will be held at the convenience of the family with burial to follow at St. Agnes Catholic Cemetery, Lock Haven.
