Mary Artley Crouse – Obituary
Betsy Artley Crouse, age 71, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on December 6, 2020 due to Interstitial Lung Disease. She was born December 18, 1948 in Williamsport, PA to Clarence Walter and Marjorie Little Artley.
Betsy met her husband Ralph E. Crouse of Renovo, PA in September, 1968 at Divine Providence hospital where he was a patient and she was a nurse after attending the Williamsport Area Community College’s LPN program. Betsy and Ralph shared 51 1/2 years of loving marriage and had two beloved children, Marjorie C (Marjie) and Walter E (Eddie).
Betsy treasured her time traveling and enjoyed a few cruises with family and friends. She especially loved spending time at Camp Lookout, a family hunting camp inthe Sproul State Forest, where she taught her children to appreciate the outdoors. She loved all animals but especially loved her cat, Peanut.
Betsy is survived by her husband, Ralph, and her two children, Marjorie Crouse and Walter Crouse, in addition to four grandchildren; Andrew Crouse, Eddie Crouse, Meagan Sweeney, and Hannah Crouse, along with her two siblings, Alice Judd and Harry Artley. She is predeceased by her parents, Clarence and Marjorie Artley and sisters Carol and Judy.
The family will hold a private memorial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the SPCA of Clinton County, 33 Mill Hill Rd. Lock Haven, Pa, to honor her love for animals.
