William P. Klepper – Obituary

William P. Klepper, 64, of Newville passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at his home.

Born October 10, 1955 in Lock Haven, he was the son of the late Vance C. and Gloria (Nolan) Klepper.

William was a 1973 graduate of Lock Haven High School.  He then attended Lock Haven University, earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Education along with his Elementary Special Education Certification in 1978 and later his Masters degree.

William was a teacher with Big Springs School District from 1979 until his retirement in 2009.  During his time there, he coached football as well as the Special Olympics team.  He was also a time keeper at various athletic events.

When living in Lock Haven, he attended United Evangelical Lutheran Church.

William was a sports enthusiast, playing tennis and golf as well as holding season tickets for both Penn State football and basketball.

He enjoyed playing card games, traveling and was a cat-lover.

Surviving are three sisters: Mary (Keith) Masden of Florida, Caroline (Dean) Conrad of Lock Haven and Jean (William) Powers of Beech Creek; three nephews: Christopher and Michael Masden and William Powers; three nieces: Jessica Templeton, Ashley (Tim) Snyder and Melissa (Franklin) Probst; and two beloved cats, Pawne and Cooper.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 12 Noon at Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, Pa 17745 with Rev. Karl Runser III officiating.  Inurnment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park.

Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Saturday, October 3, 2020 from 11 A.M. until the time of the service.
