Helen M. Mingle – Obituary
Helen M. Mingle, 90, of Flemington passed away Thursday, July 9, 2020 surrounded by family at her home.
Born March 15, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth (Martz) Lohman.
Helen was a graduate of Williamsport Area High School.
On October 29, 1957, she married her love, Sanford L. Mingle, Jr., with whom she shared 62 years of marriage before his passing on June 13, 2020.
Helen attended and was baptized at the First Church of Christ, Flemington.
From the time she was a young girl, she was a movie enthusiast- enjoying both going to them movie theatre and watching Classic Movies at home.
She liked working in her yard and flower gardening, her “green thumb” being evident.
Helen was also an outstanding baker who was known for her Lemon Meringue Pie as well as many other baked goods.
Her most loved and cherished times were those spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are four daughters: Debbie (Ken) Hoover of Levittown, Kathy (Tom) Sox of Lock Haven, Sharon (Mike) Kleese of Flemington and Laurie (Jeffrey) Conrad of Forest Hill, Maryland; a brother, James (Carol) Lohman of Mississippi; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Clark and Jack Lohman and two half-brothers, Raymond and Howard Martz.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at 12 Noon at Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, Pa 17745 with Rev. Alan Eckenroad officiating. Inurnment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park.
Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Saturday, July 18, 2020 from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Clinton County S.P.C.A. or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital through the funeral home.
