Gentzel Heads to Seton Hill for Soccer
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – Central Mountain senior Trey Gentzel will continue his soccer and academic career at Seton Hill University. He signed the paperwork on Monday of this week at the Mill Hall Park, flanked by his parents, Michael and Dee. Also attending were his high school coach Billy Hook and Central Mountain Athletic Director George Bidwell.
Gentzel said he will seek a degree in the Physician Assistant (B.S./M.S.) program. He was recruited by several schools but said after a tough decision choose to become part of the Griffin men’s soccer team. Trey is the recipient of the Aloysia Lowe Academic Scholarship.
Gentzel led the Wildcats in his senior season with six goals, three assists and 15 points in 18 games. He also handled kicking duties for the Central Mountain football team at the same time. He also lettered in baseball his junior season but lost his senior year of ball to the coronavirus school shutdown.
Seton Hill University is located in Greensburg, PA and competes in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC).
