State School Closure Impacts Local High School Sports Schedules

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – Central Mountain athletic director, George Bidwell has announced changes to the upcoming sports schedule that are impacted from the announcement from Harrisburg concerning school closures to combat the spread of the corona virus.

Pennsylvania Governor, Tom Wolf has officially announced the closure of all Pennsylvania schools for a two week period on Friday afternoon.

Due to Governor Wolf’s decision to shut down PA school districts, all scrimmages and contests scheduled with Central Mountain athletics are postponed from March 16, 2020 through March 29, 2020. Rescheduling contests are to be determined at this time.

Effective immediately, all athletic practices and activities scheduled between March 16, 2020 through March 29, 2020 are now cancelled.

Bidwell stated that he would make any appropriate updates if any scheduled contests are impacted beyond March 29, 2020. These changes will also apply to Bucktail athletics schedule as well.
