Charlotte L. (Mason) Shirk – Obituary
Charlotte Louise Shirk, 81, of Palmyra PA, passed away Friday, February 28, 2020.
Born November 27, 1938 in Renovo, PA, she was a daughter of the late Charles E. Mason and Madeline M. (DeMarte) Mason-Rooney. She was raised by her late uncle and aunt Walter and Pauline Finnefrock and was also preceded in death by her sister, Sylvia Calhoun.
She graduated from Renovo High School in 1956 and attended Central Penn Business College. She retired from the U.S. Army Security Assistance Command in New Cumberland, PA where she was employed as a logistics management specialist for the Department of Defense. Charlotte was a proud grandmother and her six grandchildren brought her much joy. She also enjoyed card club, reading and day trips to the casino.
Surviving are her daughters, Susan L., wife of Michael Snyder of Mason, OH and Stacy L., wife of Jonathan Teets of Palmyra. She also leaves behind her longtime companion of 41 years, Carl H. Keller of Palmyra. Surviving sisters are Donna Probst of Mill Hall, PA and Lois McKinley of Montoursville, PA. Her loving grandchildren Caitlin Snyder, Emilee, wife of Vincent Williams, Jacob Snyder, Kendall, Grayson, and Braedan Teets will deeply miss their “Nonie.”
No services will be held.
