Wildcat Soccer falls to Altoona, 7-2 in Season Finale
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – Its was an extremely tough outing on Saturday for the Central Mountain boys’ soccer team as they closed out their 2019 campaign with a 7-2 loss to visiting Altoona.
The Mountain Lions has built a 2-0 lead in the first period before Seth Reese found the corner of the net off a corner kick by Alec Leuthold. Altoona would extend their lead to 3-1 by intermission.
Leuthold would add the second CM score in final period, unfortunately, the Mountain Lions rolled up 4 goals in the second stanza for the 7-2 win.
Greg Walizer had 12 saves in the game for the ‘Cats at keeper.
The loss takes Central Mountain to 5-12-1 for the season, 4-7-1 in PHAC play.
