Bulldogs Turn the Table on CM to Spoil Senior Night, 1-0

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – One goal is all you need in some games and tonight it was Jersey Shore’s turn to pick up a 1-0 victory as the Wildcats were celebrating Senior Night to honor a dozen upperclassmen.

Back on Sept. 17, it was Central Mountain earning a 1-0 win at ‘Shore in their first cycle meeting. Tonight it was a shot from Jersey Shore’s Ross Fuller off an assist from Alex Butzler just 2:48 into the game, then managed to protect that lead for the remaining 77 minutes of play.

Central Mountain seniors: Logan Byler, Lane Harbach, Erick Hoy, Seth Reese, Alec Leuthold, Bryce Neff, Jason Killinger, Jeremiah Thomas, Trey Gentzel, Naaman Conoway, Greg Walizer and Roland Dornisch were recognized for their contributions to the Wildcat soccer program.

The loss takes Central Mountain to 5-9-1 overall, 4-6-1 in the PHAC. Jersey Shore is now 6-7-1 overall and 4-4-1 in conference play. The Bulldogs will travel to Bloomsburg tomorrow, Oct. 10 while the Wildcats will be off until Oct. 14 when they travel to Williamsport.
